City of New Castle issued the following announcement on Sept 15.
MSC – Interruption of Water Service
MSC will be repairing a broken water valve at the intersection of E. 5th St. and Harmony St. Prep work will begin on Monday, September 16th. There will be an interruption of water service on Tuesday, Sept. 17th , from approximately 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., for residents on E. 5th St. and residents on Harmony St. between 4th & 5th St.
This interruption may cause some water discoloration and allow air to enter the system. If this occurs, please run your cold water until it is clear and the air has escaped.
Please plan for the interruption by storing sufficient water.
In the event of heavy or steady rain, the outage will be rescheduled.
