The 2022 Young Heroes 5K Run and Walk will raise funds for research and patient services in the NCCBD at Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware. In addition to the race, the morning will be filled with a family fun activities, entertainment and food! Our widely renowned center enrolls more children into National Cancer Institute trials than nearly any other pediatric hospital in the United States. NCCBD specialists work together to care for kids with sarcomas, neuroblastomas, blood cancers and blood diseases such as sickle cell. In fact, we are the country’s only National Institutes of Health Center of Biomedical Research Excellence for sickle cell disease research. Whether you run or walk, you will help children like our 2022 Young Heroes Ambassadors — Caleb, David, Alaijah and others — and benefit countless kids with cancer and blood disorders.
