 After a successful inaugural event earlier this football season, we are excited to invite interested local business leaders back for a second Blue Hens Business Forum event on Wednesday, December 7 from 6:00-7:00pm in the Whitney Athletic Center prior to the Delaware Men’s Basketball Game vs. Delaware State. 

We are sending this message to a broad audience, knowing that some of you may have connections to businesses interested in attending the event. The purpose of this event is to allow local businesses to connect with one another and with Delaware Athletics, Community & Campus Recreation to foster meaningful partnerships supporting our collective success.

With premier Division I sports, state of the art facilities, and outstanding people, University of Delaware Athletics, Community & Campus Recreation has opportunities to engage with businesses of any size. We look to work with you to help you accomplish your goals, while strengthening the Delaware community. 

Some engagement opportunities with our Blue Hen family include:

- Partnerships with Delaware student-athletes, such as endorsements, appearances,        advertising, autographs and other Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities

- Internships, job shadowing and mentorship programs

- Sponsorship opportunities

- Group ticket packages, hospitality opportunities, and other game day experiences

- Business experiences and meetings in athletics and recreation facilities including stadiums, fields, ice arenas, pools, etc.Partnering on the community service that is important to your company

In the meantime, start engaging with our student-athletes on Name, Image and Likeness arrangements via the Blue Hen Exchange!

Some current examples of NIL opportunities in action for the Blue Hens include: 

- Delaware student-athletes publicizing a local laundry service and being compensated for promotion of the business and acquisition of new customers

- Delaware student-athletes receiving complimentary sports drinks in exchange for posting about the product on their personal social media accounts.
