Census Bureau: 78.4% of people in New Castle County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 567,769 citizens living in New Castle County in 2021, 78.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 445,153 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 214,108 were male, constituting 48.1%, and 231,045 were female, making up 51.9%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in New Castle County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 78.9%.
